These cookies remind me of the packaged Chips Ahoy we used to have now and again in the house as I was growing up. They fit in the palm of your hand, so you could snag one on the way through the kitchen and then scoff it later in private. Instead of milk chocolate chips, the dark chocolate gives them a slight bitter taste, which adds to the depth of flavour. The debate continues about crunchy versus chewy chocolate chip cookies/biscuits, but these are definitely on the crunchy side like the original Chips Ahoy. Oh, these are amazing dunked in a hot cup of tea or coffee.
